Just committed the fixed version of delete rules code (that actually
works with a real dbms :-)). I've added a few tricky tests, but if you
notice any problems with integrity constraints during commits, let me
know ASAP with as much detail as possible about what operations were
occuring (inserts/deletes/updates).

BTW, can I just reiterate that unit tests rock. Wouldn't have picked up
these issues in the first place without them, wouldn't be confident it
was fixed once I was done. Can't believe I used to code blind - no unit
tests... just manual user testing. It's just too scary to contemplate
sometimes.
