Here is an overview of the issue:
    ---------------------------------------------------------------------
            Key: CAY-94
Summary: Cayenne does not use catalog with SQLServer or Sybase Adapter
           Type: Bug

         Status: Assigned
       Priority: Blocker

        Project: Cayenne
     Components:
                 Cayenne Core Library
       Versions:
                 1.0 [STABLE]
                 1.1 [DEV]

       Assignee: Andrus Adamchik
       Reporter: Achim Dreyer

        Created: Wed, 11 Feb 2004 10:48 AM
        Updated: Wed, 11 Feb 2004 10:48 AM
Environment: Cayenne with Tomcat 4 / Tomcat 5

    Description:
We are using cayenne with Tomcat 4 and 5.

We used it with an Oracle Database befor but now we must use it with Microsoft SQL Server.
At first we create the Database-Map with Cayenne Modeler and the reeginere feature.
The user for reeginere must have the Database you want as Default Database.
But in the map.xml-File the option catalog ist correctly set to the database in wich the objects are stored.
Everything works right until you change the default database of this user.
If you want to use objects in another database with the same user that is not possible.
In my oppinion cayenne igonres the catalog option.
