Here is an overview of the issue:
    ---------------------------------------------------------------------
            Key: CAY-175
Summary: FrontBase db adapter hangs command line sample app
           Type: Bug

         Status: Assigned
       Priority: Major

        Project: Cayenne
     Components:
                 Cayenne Core Library
       Versions:
                 1.1 [BETA]

       Assignee: Andrus Adamchik
       Reporter: Will Scheidegger

        Created: Fri, 23 Jul 2004 10:46 AM
        Updated: Fri, 23 Jul 2004 10:46 AM
Environment: Mac OS X, JDK 1.4.1, FrontBase 3.6

    Description:
The attached FrontBase db adapter is an early alpha. You can successfully modify the db schema with Cayenne Modeler and the command line sample app that comes with Cayenne also returns the correct results, but...

    - the code is "chaos" (no javadoc, lot's off commented copy-paste leftovers...)
    - and even worse: It only does one query then hangs the app. When you kill the app with control-C the db gets killed too!

Also: The adaptor has not been tested for "type conversion" problems.
