Here is an overview of the issue:
    ---------------------------------------------------------------------
            Key: CAY-340
        Summary: AutoIncrement/Identity Improvements
           Type: Improvement

         Status: Assigned
       Priority: Major

        Project: Cayenne
     Components:
                 Cayenne Core Library
                 CayenneModeler GUI
       Versions:
                 1.2 [DEV]

       Assignee: Andrus Adamchik
       Reporter: Joe McDaniel

        Created: Wed, 29 Jun 2005 12:54 PM
        Updated: Wed, 29 Jun 2005 12:54 PM
    Environment: Only tested with Sybase

    Description:
These changes fix the current version failure with Sybase (does not like NOT NULL or (1,1)) and is probably compatible with other databases that support auto increment/identity fields.

Oddly enough, the reverse engineering changes are not supported by Sybase (no support for AUTO_INCREMENT) but will make someone's life easier by their not having to manually reset the Generated flag for each column.

Now to figure out how to append the patch.txt file... My changes are only in the .java areas and there seem to be a bunch of other trivial differences...
