Torque product (and Jakarta in general)

    Hi,

    1. anyone (with time on their hands :-)) can do some evaluation of this
    product from apache site:
    http://jakarta.apache.org/turbine/torque/index.html ? Looks like something
    close to Cayenne.

    Could you post your opinions here.

    2. Also this kind of got me thinking - how come usually all projects under
    jakarta.apache.org and apache in general are usually high quality usable
    tools (unlike most of the OpenSource products out there). So I found their
    guidelines for acceptance here:
    http://jakarta.apache.org/site/newproject.html . I wonder if one of our
    goals as an OpenSource development group should be to join jakarta. They
    set very high standards for their subprojects, and in return being under
    jakarta is like a quality assurance for the product users. Just something
    to think about.
