    If Holger's advise doesn't work, I have a small correction to the advise I
    sent earlier. Try explicitly including the following things in CLASSPATH:

    cayenne.jar
    cayenne-modeler.jar
    scope-bin-1.0.1.jar

    I will investigate some more later.
