    Thanks, but I've read that a few times, but it's the requirement
    to bind to a ThreadLocal that is the area of uncertainty. But
    that's small fish compared to the overlooked import of my original
    message, that of implementing a stand-alone configurer for this.

    After writing the original message, I had a notion that either
    the Spring Rich project may have a demo (Hibernate based, maybe)
    which would speak to the issue, or there already exists some generic
    interceptor/configurer in Spring.
