    On Windows I drag and drop the view(s) near the edge of the window I would
    like to position them. I don't a Mac so I can't confirm it works on Macs.

    Subject: [OFF TOPIC] Moving Views in Eclipse

    Greetings all,

    Question
    --------
    How do I move a view on Mac OS X?

    Background
    ----------

    Sorry for the off-topic post, but I'm deciding whether to use Eclipse for
    my next project, and don't want to incur the overhead of subscribing to
    an Eclipse mailing list if I'm about to drop the IDE and run back to
    horrible PBX.

    I'm on Mac OS X running Eclipse 2.1.0
    1.0.1. The default view structure came up like this:

    +---------++---------------+
    |navigator|| |
    +---------+| editor |
    +---------+| |
    | outline || |
    +---------++---------------+

    No problem with that. However, when I run my WOApp, the 'Console' view
    appears, halving the editor view like so:

    +---------++------++-------+
    |navigator||editor||console|
    +---------+| || |
    +---------+| || |
    | outline || || |
    +---------++------++-------+

    This is useless, the source code view is too narrow this way, as is the
    console view. I would need to horizontally scroll to see anything.
    Horizontal scrolling is no fun. I want to arrange the views like so:

    +---------++---------------+
    |navigator|| editor |
    +---------++---------------+
    +---------++---------------+
    | outline || console |
    +---------++---------------+

    This wouldn't be a problem if I could just move the view where I want it.
    However, attempting to drag the view's title bar, as stated in the
    documentation, does nothing. Indeed, the referenced "drop cursors" never
    appear. Control- and Command- dragging the title bar also has no effect.

    Finally, invoking the view's Move->View contextual menu also does
    nothing. Suggestions?

    I read the fine manual. I attempted to search the bug database for SWT
    and Mac OS X, thinking maybe moving views is just broken on Mac OS X for
    now. I can't get Bugzilla to work. I attempted to read the mailing list
    archives and users' forums for peer assistance. They demand a password to
    *read* the archives.
