       What if GVCFoundation needs 3 other frameworks built? Presumably
    maven has some kind of import mechanism as well, so I'm not sure this
    convinces me.

       Kick ass integration with Eclipse so I didn't have to edit XML
    files, THAT Would convince me. :-)
