    I am glad to announce the first preview release of Cayenne 1.1. It
    contains a number of important new features:

    1. Distributed cache
    2. Object validation
    3. Data Views (DataObjects and Swing)
    4. Public transaction API
    5. OpenBase Adapter
    6. Tapestry 3.0 tutorial
    7. New look and feel of CayenneModeler, new and reworked configuration
    dialogs.
    ... and more

    The "preview" status of this release merely indicates that final 1.1
    will include many more features.

    DOCUMENTATION VERSIONING NOTE:
    Cayenne website contains documentation for the last STABLE release
    (which is 1.0.6). For 1.1 documentation, download 1.1 release and use
    HTML docs included in the release.
