My little example (yes, wish it were smaller) is what I developed months
ago to demo to my company and others. It evoked comments like "how much
does this cost?" and "where are you writing the SQL?" (The EJB guys
were baffled.)
It is not really a tutorial. I thought if I put something that showed
linear code flow (not much bouncing around) with the corresponding
output, one could read/skim through it if they were Cayenne-curious
without having to download or install anything. If they still had
interest, they could download the project and try it out and play around
with it. (The first thing a co-worker did was modify it to insert
10,000 records to see how fast it was.)
Comments also appreciated.
Thanks,

Subject: New Tutorial
Just finished a new tutorial:
http://objectstyle.org/confluence/display/CAYDOC/Quick+Start
I tried to make it a step-by-step guide to Cayenne features instead
of our three original independent examples. So it goes from mapping
to the basic API to the web app deployment. I will be checking the
source code shortly.
Comments? Typos? Anything we can simplify to make it smaller?
Andrus
P.S. I noticed Mike also started a similar project on Wiki. I think
documentation redundancy is a good thing - it provides different user
perspectives. Way to go!
