Yes, but the "bug" is that the program does not see that you have fixed
the error until you do something like delete the entire contents of the
box and reenter it. It should have a Listener for changes or, at the
very least, loss of focus (checking on every character change might be
expensive).

I've made that mistake a couple of times too.
some hints.... always use lowercase "and"s and "or"s and try to make
sure your parenthesis line up. I usually type the qualifier out in a
scratch file first then paste it into the qualifier box because the
text field is so small.
