    Hi Franscesca
    Cayenne doesn't come with the MySQL JDBC driver. You have to download it
    from MySQL official site (go to http://dev.mysql.com/downloads and
    download the 3.1 MySQL Connector/J binaries).
    Unzip the archive in some directory, and add it to the Cayenne Modeler
    classpath : open Cayenne Modeler, Tools->Preferences and choose
    ClassPath item and click on the "Add Jar/Zip" button. Save the
    modification and Cayenne should be able to connect to your MySQL DB now.
