i tried but it didnt work...
i also changed the jdbc drive to the most recent one (8.1-404 JDBC 3) but
still same result - neither attributes nor entities have correct displayed
special chars -> "Länder" is still "L nder" and contains no attributes (in
reality is has some)
Cayenne: 1.2M10
PGDB: 8.1
JDBC: 8.1-404 JDBC 3
It happens after reengineering - as i have a DB.

PS: this problem also occurs with hibernate embedded in MyEclipse 4.1m2,
however the PG Admin tool works as expected...
