client class defaults: allow client entities?

    From what little mention I've found of this flag in the modeler datamap
    properties panel, I've gathered it's something I'd like to use in my
    project, but I can't find any real documentation on the topic.
    Can someone explain please what allow client entities is about, what the
    relevant java package is supposed to contain or provide a link to some sort
    of documentation?
