    Windows 98 was marked "End Of Life" earlier this year (although Microsoft
    has temporarily backpedaled on that) and won't be supported much longer.

    Windows ME is to be avoided at all costs as it is unusable due to memory
    usage issues.

    If you're worried about compatibility, w2k has been able to run all but one
    of my old games, of which there are many.
