Here is an overview of the issue:
    ---------------------------------------------------------------------
            Key: CAY-149
Summary: "Recent File" path references to deleted cayenne.xml files grow extremely long
           Type: Bug

         Status: Assigned
       Priority: Trivial

        Project: Cayenne
     Components:
                 CayenneModeler GUI
       Versions:
                 1.1 [DEV]

       Assignee: Andrus Adamchik
       Reporter: Neil Pierson

        Created: Wed, 16 Jun 2004 11:13 AM
        Updated: Wed, 16 Jun 2004 11:13 AM

    Description:
Under "File" --> "Recent Files", the references to copies of cayenne.xml that were deleted never went away under version 1.0. But under 1.1, the references to those unfound files have gotten longer and longer each time I start the modeler. Specifically, additional back-slashes get added to the path until, eventually, the path is so long it can't be completely displayed anymore.
