    No, there is no docs, as this was planned to be redesigned...

    The procedure is roughly the following - you create a DerivedDbEntity by
    clicking corresponding toolbar button, select "Parent DbEntity" from
    dropdown, then do "Project -> Reset Derived Entity". The last step will
    make derived entity an exact replica of parent, which is a good stating
    point for customization. Then for the "Spec" of your XMLTYPE column enter
    "..getclobval()", and for the type enter "CLOB".
