With stored procedure support added (the last piece of the original plan
for Beta), I think we are more or less ready to go Beta. Since I am going
on vacation next Friday, I am planning a release on April 19-20. Is
    everybody OK with that?

One pending issue right now is inheritance. Andriy, are you done with the
piece you were working on? There is also an inheritance patch from Arndt,
but I am hesitant to delay Beta because of that. I will look at what we
    can do about it.

While we are in Beta, our focus should be shifted from adding features to
testing the existing ones and making it all stable. For instance I plan to
work on LDAP adapter, but I will most likely keep it in sandbox till we
    start 1.1.

A few things for Beta with the goal in mind to make Beta as short as we
can, make 1.0 final, and start 1.1 ;-)

    1. API freeze.

While we can't do a complete API freeze as Holger pointed out, I suggest
limiting changes to a minimum, discussing all API changes on this list.
Any non-critical refactoring affecting the API should be put on hold.
Modeler will not be "frozen" I don't see a big point of doing that. We
should avoid changes that would destabilize the Modeler though.

    2. Modeler catching up with the core framework.

Quiet a few DataMap features are not supported by the modeler: custom
named PK sequences, Stored Procedures, Inheritance. It would be nice to
    address though things.

    3. Bug Fixing, documentation, examples.

    This is obvious.
